In an effort to support the College’s commitment to social responsibility, the Community Service Resource Center and the Center for Spiritual Life offer students the opportunity to spend their spring break volunteering instead of pursuing a traditional vacation.
The goal of this spring break alternative is to engage students in a community-based service project that will provide them with the experience of facing poverty in a new community.
Alternative spring break experiences often provide students with new skills, perspective, knowledge, friendships, and a desire to become more involved in their own community.
The Center for Spiritual Life and Community Service Resource Center are in the process of identifying potential sites for a 2009-10 trip. Further details will be posted as they become available.
Fourteen Keuka College freshmen, sophomores, and juniors joined more than 12,000 fellow spring breakers from across the country participating in Habitat for Humanity’s “Collegiate Challenge” March 23-30. These students spent the week constructing houses while learning about sub-standard housing issues. More in KC Currents »
