Keuka College's English major provides the skills and habits of mind most sought by today's employers—the ability to express oneself clearly and persuasively, to think analytically, and to read critically.
English majors develop superior written and oral communication skills, and they do well in professions where comprehension, decision-making, research skills, and creativity are valued.
English graduates find employment in business and industry, finance/banking, education, government, and not-for-profit and public sector organizations. An English major also provides an excellent foundation for graduate work, including education, law, and medicine.
